Thrown from a mixture of porcelain and stoneware, with a blue, transparent and purposefully crackled/crazed celadon glaze.

A special piece for two reasons. Firstly, as a close collaboration with Charlotte Freemantle of antiques and restoration house Jamb; the form was inspired by an earthenware apothecary jar once owned by Lady Ottoline Morrell from Charlotte's own collection. Secondly, as it was fired in the reduction oil-fired kiln (possibly the last in the country) at The Marches Pottery in Ludlow by my teacher Andrew Crouch.

Only 15 were exclusive made for Jamb. This is the last remaining one of the essential extras that didn't make it to the showroom because of some slight snagging of the base to kiln shelf (see images) that cause some very minor chips.

Approximately 14x18cm
